I begin my 20th year in education proudly serving the Cedar Hill Collegiate High School and Academy community in the role of the instructional leader. Born and raised right here in the DFW metroplex, I come from a long linage of seasoned educators. This family influence has shaped my personal standard of caring for each of my students in the same manner of which I have faith that another educator is caring for my son, Camden.
I graduated from Arlington’s Sam Houston High School received my B.A. degree from University of Texas in Arlington in Exercise Sports Studies with a minor in English and Education and my Masters in Education Administration from Texas Christian University. My professional experience includes Teacher, Coach, and Teacher Coordinator in Grand Prairie ISD and continued in Cedar Hill ISD as an Assistant Principal, District Coordinator, and Dean of Instruction and ultimately my most rewarding role to date – principal of two innovative schools!
From preparing students in the classroom for the real world to bridging community college students to a four-year university, my career in education has afforded me many rewarding experiences. Still, I continue to inspire the innovative minds of the young adults of whom I am so fortunate to be surrounded – hopefully as much as they inspire me!
