Mr. Jason T. Miller

 Greetings Longhorn Family!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome each of you to the Bessie Coleman Longhorn Family for the 2015-2016 school year! I am very pleased to be your principal and to play a role in the academic and social development of your child. This school year will bring with it many challenges and triumphs. CHALLENGES in terms of high expectations for all; and TRIUMPHS in knowing that everyone we have assembled in this building is eager to help your child achieve academic excellence.

Please know that the staff and I will walk in the door every day prepared to meet the ultimate goal of educating your children. Our quest to provide your child (ren) with a rigorous and relevant instructional program will not be compromised. Our expectations will be high and the instructional program will be challenging, yet rewarding. Parents play a key role in the academic success of our students; therefore , school /parent communication is crucial. Our instructional program will be far more effective with your active participation. Your presence is not only welcomed , but is encouraged!

In the inspiring words of Raymond Floyd, " Set goal in life; set them high and persist until they are achieved. Once they are achieved set, bigger and better goals. You will soon find that your life will become happier and more purposeful by working toward positive goals." Bessie Coleman Middle School will be the "Premier School" in CHISD!
