Cedar Hill ISD

  • Bus Serivce for CHISD Students

A student is eligible to ride the bus at no charge if his/her residence is 2 miles or more from school. The 2 miles are measured via the shortest vehicular route between the front of the residence and the street in front of the school flag pole.

Route times are approximate and students should arrive early to the bus stop, especially the first two weeks of school.

    Pay-to-Ride Program

The district offers an optional pay-to-ride bus transportation program for students who live less than 2 miles from their assigned school. The program is provided on a space available, first-come first-served basis.

Eligible riders take precedence over pay-to-ride students. If eligible ridership rises, pay-to-ride students will no longer be allowed to ride the bus and families will be given a prorated refund on a last in, first out basis.

    Pay-to-ride fees are as follows:

    • $125 per semester for first child
    • $100 per semester for second child
    • $75 per semester for third child
    • No charge for additional children

All payments must be made in advance on a per semester basis. Fill out this form and email it to Kim Lewis to participate in the program.
