Trustee Quildon is a currently a Senior Software Engineer. He and his wife Shawn moved to Cedar Hill in 2003 with their two children, Victorea and Andre. Trustee Quildon has a passion for education.  He believes education is the most precious gift we can give our children.   

Trustee Quildon is also very active in his community and currently serves as President of the Cedar Hill Lions Club. Trustee Quildon is also a member of the High Pointe Public Improvement District, Cedar Hill Rotary Club and various other community organizations. He and his family attend Dayspring Family Church in Irving. He enjoys spending time with his family and reading current events.

Bio: Trustee Hodges-Kent is a community, corporate and government relations specialist. Most recently, she served as the executive director of a 25-year-old regional partnership of 11 municipalities and four chambers of commerce. Prior to serving Dallas and Ellis County, she worked for the Department of Labor in the Bureau of Labor and Statistics as she pursued post-graduate studies in Urban Affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington. She served as a consultant and trainer with the Children’s Defense Fund in Washington, D.C. focused on the retention and expansion of a national non-school hours program (Freedom Schools). Trustee Hodges-Kent was instrumental in starting the first Texas program in 1995 as an associate director with the Greater Dallas Community of Churches. She was able to put her grass-roots knowledge to work on a national level when serving in the district office of one of Texas’ congressional leaders. Later she served as vice president of education for Junior Achievement of Dallas. Hodges-Kent is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas and the mother of a 2007 Cedar Hill graduate.

Bio: Trustee Roberts has been a resident of Cedar Hill and serving her community since 2005 in various roles including PTA President, Founder of the Southwest Suburban Netweavers, and as a Cedar Hill Education Foundation Board Member. Angela holds an MBA from the University of Oklahoma and works for Protection 1 as a Top Tier Integrated Security Sales Consultant. She was a recipient of a public education and an athlete during her high school and college years. She has two sons who have attended Cedar Hill ISD since Kindergarten. Her oldest son, Brandon attends the Collegiate High School and competes on the tennis team. Her youngest son, Jacob is a master speller, cellist, and enjoys playing soccer. The Roberts’ share their home in Wildwood with their two dachshunds, Princess Juliet and Princess Isabella and cat, Brother Kitty. Angela has a passion for education and a desire to collaborate with educators and community members to ensure every student in the district receives a quality education and opportunity to be not only college ready, but career ready.

Bio: In December 2016, Dan Hernandez was appointed by the CHISD Board of Trustees to fill the unexpired term for Place 1. 

Previously, he served on the board between 2002-2014. During his tenure, he held leadership positions including vice president and president.  Additionally in 2013, he earned the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Master Trustee Certification. Prior to joining the board, he served on numerous district and campus level committees.

Trustee Hernandez is employed by the Office of Inspector General where his efforts are focused on supporting audit initiatives ensuring Medicaid-funded health care providers throughout the state comply with regulations, as well as the detection of fraud, waste and abuse therein. 

He and his wife Cynthia settled in Cedar Hill in 1991 and raised two children, Christopher and Adrianna, both Cedar Hill ISD graduates, 2008 and 2010, respectively. 

In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy their empty nest, and frequently spend time with their five-year-old grandson Anthony and their three-month-old grandson Ethan.

Bio: A Cedar Hill resident since 1989, Trustee Heyerdahl and his wife, Jill, raised their family in Cedar Hill.  Both girls were educated in CHISD, attending Bray, Lake Ridge, West, Permenter, the Ninth Grade Center, and Cedar Hill High School.  His older daughter, Elise, is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and is working in physical therapy at Cook Children's Hospital - Fort Worth.  His younger daughter, Mariah, attends the University of Oklahoma, studying Elementary Education, and hoping to also coach high school soccer. For over 25 years, Mr. Heyerdahl has served as the Chief Financial Officer of one of the larger printing companies in Dallas. Doug and Jill attend both Trinity Church and Hope Lutheran Church in Cedar Hill, but also enjoy worshipping at other Cedar Hill churches.

Mr. Robert Riggs

Bio: Trustee Riggs has lived in the Best Southwest area for 25 years and for the last 11 years in Cedar Hill. Born in Liberal, Kansas, Mr. Riggs lived as a child in Bartlesville and Tulsa in Oklahoma before moving to Richardson, Texas where he completed middle school and high school. Mr. Riggs and his wife Patti have three sons: Ian, a 2013 graduate of Cedar Hill High School; Aaron, a junior at the High School; and Ben, a freshman at the Ninth Grade Center. For the past 15 years Mr. Riggs has worked in higher education administration at Dallas Theological Seminary. He currently serves on the elder board at Faith Bible Church of DeSoto and as a board member of a private foundation that provides scholarships to graduate students.

Mr. Riggs believes that serving as a Trustee is about teamwork, communication, and hard work. He believes that in order for Cedar Hill to be the best community that it can be, our schools must educate each student to the highest level possible for that individual student.

"This can only be accomplished when each Trustee listens to the issues and works together with fellow Trustees to give the Superintendent the resources and input he needs to be successful," Mr. Riggs said.

Bio: Trustee Wesley is no stranger to CHISD or to the Cedar Hill community. A former district Administrator and city resident of 27 years, she has collaborated with parents, educators, business owners and community leaders to support the success of all our students. A member of both the 2011 and 2012 Committees to pass the bond package, she was later appointed to the Bond Oversight Committee.

Trustee Wesley has been actively engaged in the social services field for decades. From Caseworker, Psychological Counselor and Unit Supervisor to Consultant and Health Educator, she is a passionate proponent of women, children and the family unit. She currently serves as a Ministry Director and Speaker.

Married for nearly 30 years to Dr. Karry D. Wesley, they have raised three sons here. Their two oldest sons, Christopher and Karl, graduated from Trinity Christian High School in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Their youngest son, Charles, graduated from Cedar Hill High School in 2013.

Trustee Wesley loves this district and believes that we are moving forward in our pursuit of academic excellence for all students. With the proper resources, genuine collaboration, hard work and prayer, the students of CHISD will receive the tools to be successful in academia and life.
